I ask b/c I am in the process of building a house, that was set to close on 04/28/10. I just found out yesterday that my lender broke the law, as well as committed fraud. Therefore, I spent 4.5 hours in a new lender's office yesterday figuring out how to "fix" what the other lender did. This now means I cannot not close until sometime in the first 2 weeks of May. They are going to try for the USDA loan, but I am just curious what the actual odds are of this going through at that time? There are members of Congress who have constituencies heavily dependent on rural development so while I do not have names I am certain those ladies and gentlemen are not so busy with other things as to push for this needed funding.
